S+ SeqTrialTM / RCTdesign

TIBCO Software, Inc. (the owners of S-Plus) and Scott reached an agreement whereby the S+SeqTrialTM package, designed by Scott, could be ported to the R statistical software. S+SeqTrial / RCTdesign is used for for designing, monitoring, and analyzing clinical trials using group sequential methods. In a classical fixed sample design, the sample size is set in advance of collecting any data. In sequential design, data are monitored throughout the collection, and the data may be analyzed after a block of data is accrued.

The SeqTrial module features comprehensive design and evaluation tools for group sequential methods, and advanced visualization tools for analyzing and interpreting results. Further information on obtaining the RCTdesign software module can be obtained at www.RCTdesign.org.
