statistical hypotheses can be defined by either the hypotheses rejected
or the hypotheses accepted
Classical
hypothesis testing is described in terms of the hypotheses rejected

sample sizes, these hypotheses must not be contiguous if we
maintain a fixed level of statistical evidence (see
later)

If we
describe the hypotheses being accepted, those hypotheses will overlap
