Criteria for “good”
parameterizations
If the
boundary shape function on a given scale is not independent of choice of
type I and II errors, then that would argue that grouping of
designs according to parameterization of that scale will not correspond
to similar efficiency properties
As it is
unlikely that boundary shape parameters for efficient designs will be
constant across all choices of type I and type II errors, we can also
compare the degree that boundary shape parameters change for each
boundary scale
